In the early morning hours of October 26, Rock River Soap Company’s Master Soap Artisan and beloved ‘SoapGuy’, Scott Holloway was the victim of a senseless, violent attack and robbery in a neighborhood north of Chicago. As a result of considerable injury, he underwent surgery and was hospitalized.
This Saturday, November 1st please join the Downtown Kenosha community that he loves, nurtures, and has selflessly contributed to for years and years as they join forces to try and give back to Scott.
Linnea Bakery and Rustic Road Brewing Company are joining forces to “Pay It Forward”to help the ‘SoapGuy’ recover from these unexpected medical expenses with a benefit event.
Kimberly Rutkowski and Mark Rutkowski are having a chili dinner event between 5-8pm at Linnea Bakery, with soda and water available. Beer and alcohol is availablenext door at Rustic Road. A portion of all of Saturday's sales at the brewerywill be donated. Robin’s Nest Cakery will also be donating a portion of their sales on Saturday.
In addition to these festivities, there will be a 50/50 raffle with half the proceeds going to our “Soap Guy”.
As always, Rock River Soap Company products will be available for purchase at both locations. If you can't make it to the Pay It Forward Fundraiser at the bakery or brewery, please stop in at your favorite local shop and buy a bar or two of Scott’s expertly crafted products.
If you are unable to make “Pay It Forward”, you can make a donation to Scott via Rock River Soap Company’s GoFundMe site; www.gofundme.com/rockriversoap
THANK YOU for supporting Scott!!!
